Drew Dennett, MSW Practicum Student
Drew Dennett has worked at Oro House Recovery Centers as a residential advisor and shift lead and has been with the company since 2019.
He is currently in the process of receiving his MSW from the University of Southern California Dworack-Peck School of Social Work.
He has had experience working with various populations prior to working at Oro House. For his first year internship at the University of Southern California, he worked as a case manager at a homeless services agency near skid row in downtown Los Angeles.
Drew takes a client-centered and relational approach when working with the clients he is seeing.
He also works from an integrative lens by blending elements of various therapeutic modalities (psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, etc.) to help clients create change in their lives.
Drew believes that relentless curiosity and self-exploration leads to forming a sense of identity and purpose, which is imperative for long-term recovery.
In addition to being a therapist, Drew enjoys playing his bass, discovering new music, re-watching old movies, exploring new restaurants in Los Angeles, and spending time with his partner.
