Most rehabs run on shared rooms and a program that everyone moves through together. Our Malibu house is set up for the opposite: a small number of clients, a private room each, and a treatment plan that follows the person, not a fixed schedule.

Private pay or insurance.
The house accepts insurance and private pay. Many clients choose private pay because it means the decisions about their care are made with their treatment team, not by an insurance reviewer:
- Length of stay is clinical, not authorized. Nobody is discharged because a payer stopped approving days.
- Admission can happen today. There is no pre-authorization to wait on. Call, talk with admissions, and if the house is right for you, arrive.
- Your privacy stays yours. No claims are filed unless you ask us to. Many clients choose private pay for exactly this reason.
- If you have out-of-network PPO benefits and want to submit for reimbursement, we'll provide the documentation. That's your choice, made after admission, never a condition of it.
Using insurance? Oro House accepts both HMO and PPO insurance plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Shield of California, CalPERS, TriCare and TriWest, First Health and Kaiser PPO. Verify your insurance and admissions will tell you what your plan covers, free.

Is every room really private?
Yes. Every room at our Malibu luxury rehab is a private room. The house takes a small number of clients at a time.
What does the house treat?
Alcohol and drug addiction, with medical detox on site when it's needed and psychiatric care for co-occurring mental health conditions (dual diagnosis). It's a residential rehab: you live at the house for the length of treatment.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. Oro House accepts both HMO and PPO insurance plans, the same as at our other locations. Private pay is welcome too, and some clients choose it for privacy and a length of stay set by their clinicians. Admissions will verify your benefits for free before you arrive.
How long will I stay?
Your treatment team sets that with you, based on how you are doing.
Can I stay in touch with work or family?
Within clinical guidelines, yes. Many of our clients are professionals who need to stay reachable. Your team will set boundaries that protect your recovery without cutting you off from your life.
Where exactly is the house?
Above Zuma Beach in Malibu, west of Point Dume, about an hour from LAX and 45 minutes from Santa Monica. Admissions shares the address once you've spoken with them.
